Alan was telling a crowd of people what had happened. "It was just like Buffy! I had this feeling that I could fight really well and I saved my Dad by shoving a pencil through this creepy guy's heart. Then he turned to dust. It was a real vampire!"
"Come on, vampires?" said Biff, from the crowd.
"There have been strange things happening," replied Julian. "I think there really could be vampires."
"It's just fantasy," said Biff.
"I think they're real," replied Karyn.
"Karyn!" said Jon. He ran up to her, not wanting everyone to know about the wishes. "I'm glad you're here," he whispered. "I had to make a wish. That's why there are vampires."
"You mean there weren't vampires here before a minute ago?"
"No," replied Jon, "before last night. But it shouldn't be too dangerous. I tried to make sure they wouldn't attack people too much, because we have a Slayer... I'll explain to you later, okay?"
"I see," replied Karyn. "Just like Buffy. So the vampires are soulless demons that just look like the person until they put on their demon face. And they don't turn into bats, but they are strong, and they're hurt by sunlight..."
"Yeah, just like on the show."
"And the Slayer goes out and fights vampires and demons, and comes back all horny for guys..."
"What?"
"It's what fighting monsters does to you. Remember that scene where Buffy and Spike go at it so much that they tear down a building? Remember how horny Faith gets, even at the end of the run when she isn't evil?"
"Well, yeah..."
"And Alan is the Slayer now," said Karyn.
"But he doesn't like guys that way. No, wait. He did when it was me. But he still doesn't like regular guys that way."
"If I'm right, I think he might find himself liking things he didn't expect," said Karyn.
