A Kiss

Jill and Tom sat on the couch after finishing another drink.
"Feeling any better?" Jill asked putting her hand on Tom's shoulder.
"A little." Tom said putting his hand on hers and holding it there. "I have just felt so cut off and numb since James " Tom trailed off.
Jill squeezed his hand and gave him a sympathetic smile. "I know."
"I would really like to kiss you." Tom said staring into Jill's eyes.
"I uh." Jill said taken slightly aback. Thoughts raced through her mind widely. She was very confused for some reason and couldn't quiet understand the feelings she was having. Since she had lost her memory, Tom and James' sister Linda, seemed to be the only things in her life that she seemed to have any connection to. She felt like a stranger in her apartment, in her life, even in her own body. She had been able to ignore the awkwardness at times, but when she showered or dressed, something in the back of her mind told her this was different than she should be used to. Putting on a bra always seemed strange, she known she must have done it a million times in her life, but since she couldn't remember it felt like she was still learning to put one on. And her breasts were so large. Could they have always been this big? Some how she didn't think so, but whole body felt that way. Her long blond hair, her hips, even when she would stare at her face it seemed like it wasn't her own. Tom was the same way in some respects. She instantly felt a strong connection to him, like she had known him her whole life, but she had just meet him. Yet she felt she knew him, like he was her best friend she felt safe with him but now he wanted to kiss her. For some reason the idea of kissing Tom seemed strange. She really liked him and he definitely was cute, but kissing him she wondered why that was bothering her.
She looked at Tom expectant stare and thought, "It must be because I don't want to rush things. He is really hurting right now and very vulnerable. I can tell I really do like him and just don't want to ruin things by going to quickly. That must be why I am hesitating." She thought as she leaned forward and began to kiss him.
Quickly the two began to kiss more and more passionately.
