"No, no," said Sandy. "You're fine. Are you nervous?"
Jon was nervous, but not just because it was his first date with Sandy. He was nervous because it was his first date with a guy, period. He was playing along with it because in the new reality it was expected he would do that sometimes. And, he had to admit, in the new reality he found guys to be strangely attractive at times. He supposed he was experimenting now that he had these feelings--"bi-curious," it was sometimes called.
"No, it's fine too," replied Jon. "By the way, did you notice the initials of that club spell out 'bra'?"
"I think that's on purpose," replied Sandy. "There's a big sign on the front where you can read the word right across."
"Hey, you're right about the sign," said Jon. "Bra, in big green lights!" As they approached and entered--Sandy holding the door open for Jon--Jon looked around. It was dark except for some flashing lights, but Jon could see that there were quite a few couples around. Guys with girls, girls with girls, and guys with guys....
