"Why don't we go someplace were we can get better acquainted," Sandy suggested. "Because, you know, a movie theater is no good for that. It's too dark to really see each other and even if you whisper, it annoys the people around you. And sitting here in public for hours, that's no good either."
"Like, where, then?" Jon wondered.
"This is just a suggestion, but there's a dance club Dale and I have been to a couple of times. How would you feel about that? You don't necessarily have to dance. A lot of people just go there for the music and conversation. It's called Bart's Rythm and Arts," Sandy proposed.
Jon wrinkled his brow and thought a moment. "I've never heard of it so, uh, like, what kind of people go there? I mean, if there are guys dancing with guys..."
"All kinds of people go there: some straight, some not so much. It's just a place where everybody can be himself and not get hassled about it. Or herself. It'll give us a chance to talk and compare notes. What do you say?"
"What about Jeff and Dale?" Jon asked.
"Oh, we'll be OK," Dale assured the others. "We've decide to watch that chick flick after all, and you guys didn't want to see that anyway."
"I guess it's decided, then," Jon agreed. "But Sandy, am I dressed OK?"
