Jon and Joseph approached Lydia's house, where the prank was going to be played. It was dark and silent--probably nobody was inside, and certainly no party was in progress.

"There," he said. "Look over to your right behind the tree. I think Lydia's watching us. She isn't holding a garden hose, I just think she wants to see us react."

Jon then stuck his hand into his pocket and whispered a wish to pull his own prank back on Lydia, careful to not let anyone hear it. "I wish that Lydia's house would be set up for a party, and people who might come to a party and have tonight free would come here, but reality would not be changed to make this seem normal."

Suddenly rock music began to blare from inside the house, and several lights turned on.

"Looks like you're wrong," said Joseph. "This has to be a party."

"What are you doing in my house? Who set this up?"

"What are you talking about?" asked Jon. "We came here for the party. We were invited, after all!"

"I'm not having any party in my house! It's a freaking joke! You're supposed to be banging on the door and shouting to be let in!"

"I don't get it," said Jon. "You invited us to a party. We came to the party. What do you mean you're not having a party? This certainly looks like one."

"Maybe it was a prank," said Joseph. "She invites up to a party and spends the night yelling at us."

"I don't know how you figured it out or how you managed all this," said Lydia, as Jon poured himself a Coke, "but you're trespassing. There is no party!"

Just then someone knocked on the door and there was a voice. It must be, thought Jon, the first of the people magically realizing that there was a party here they might like to come to. "I heard there was a party here?" said the voice.

"It's the right place!" yelled Jon.

"It is not!" yelled Lydia.

Opening the door and saying "I was right. There is a party here," the person who arrived turned out to be....
