"Well, gosh, Jon," Joseph began after thinking things over for a moment. "You know, this is the first honest-to-goodness sex party anyone has ever invited me to. And even if there's going to be few if any conventional match-ups -- you know, I mean guys with dicks screwing girls with vaginas -- I guess that shouldn't matter to guys like us who have pussies now. So yeah, I still feel like going to Lydia's party, just to make the scene and see what it's like. Will you come with me?"
"As a date?" asked Jon, uncertain of which answer he wanted.
"I dunno. Why do you ask?" Joseph queried.
"Well, if you recall, we did have some dates back in September," Jon reminded him. "But we've both dated other people since then, and things are obviously different now, especially, well, uh, for you. So, why are you asking me to Lydia's sex party?"
"I just thought we could watch out for each other, in case things got too weird or out of hand. I didn't even think of us arriving as a couple. Unless you want to..."
"No, that's OK. We'll just watch out for each other," Jon agreed.
"We've got three or four hours before we need to be at Lydia's," Joseph observed. "What do you feel like doing? Should we buy some clothes, or get a haircut, or do anything else to get ready?"
"I'll probably just take a shower and put on clean clothes with no holes in the underwear," Jon stated. "But you should do whatever makes you comfortable."
"As if I knew," Joseph complained. "I wonder what Alan and Jeff are doing to get ready."
"I don't know Jeff's number but Karyn is speed-dial number one on my cell phone. She should be at the mall with Jeff by now. You wanna call her?" Jon suggested.
