Jon decided that he'd explain to Joseph what was going on. Almost--he had to leave out the parts about him knowing it because he'd just asked a magic stone.
"I think I know what she was talking about. Look, it's not what you think. It's a get-together, it isn't instant sex. She was going to have it anyway for her friends, but now that lots of people got affected by the shower, she decided to change it a little."
"I don't get it."
"Joseph, the biggest part is that she's invited a bunch of guys who have pussies, but she's also invited a bunch of normal guys who are friends of hers. She's got a reputation as hating guys, but she's what people call a 'fag hag'--she likes being friends with gay guys who don't think of her as a sex object."
"You mean she's hoping that if I come, I'll hook up with a guy she knows?"
"Pretty much. Alan and Jeff are coming. Nobody's tricked them--they already decided they'd like to try dating guys. They're coming with Sandy and Dale. Twin boys, friends of Alan, they go to another school. And they're not the only ones coming."
"And what about Lydia's female friends?"
"A couple will be there. I don't know if any of them like people like us, but I guess it's always possible. So are you sure you want to go, Joseph?"
