"I didn't expect Jeff to have broken into the magic shower," said Karyn.

"It's fine," whispered Karyn, "I know you changed yourself and made the shower to explain it." Of course--Jon had wished that the shower would be the explanation in the new reality--so Karyn, who didn't remember the new reality, wouldn't be affected.
"You're his friend," said Jeff. "How exactly are guys with vaginas supposed to date?"
"I don't know..." replied Karyn.
Karyn didn't really know, because she didn't remember the new reality, but Jon realized he did know. He had wished that he'd know his past in the new reality. So if he thought about it, he would be able to explain it to Jeff after all.
"Well..." said Jon, thinking. "You pretty much have to wear guy clothes. The only thing different is between your legs. You don't have a different body shape--if you wear a skirt or use makeup, you'll just look like a guy with a skirt or makeup. Everyone who sees you will think you're weird. So wear the same things you'd wear anyway."
