Jon continued. "My life is that there were really two of me, a guy Jon and a twin sister Jonnie, who got merged into one in a freak lab accident that's going to wear off in a few minutes from now."

After Jon finished the description, Karyn said "I don't get it. That can't work, right? It would reverse the half female wish."

"No it wouldn't," said Jon. "The wish was that you didn't see my penis. If I was two merged people and didn't have a penis at the time, you wouldn't have seen it. It wouldn't matter if I have one before or after that. Anyway, we'd better get to my locker... I left some clothes there in this new reality, for when the accident wears off."

They were almost to the locker when Jon suddenly keeled over. He collapsed to the ground and strangely, it seemed his top half fell over in the opposite direction from his bottom half. Then there were two separate people, one male and one female, each wearing half the clothes. They staggered to the locker, helping each other along, and the male Jon opened it. Quickly they got out the clothes, threw on jackets and ran to the restroom to dress completely.

"So it worked," said Jonnie as she came out of the girl's bathroom.

"Yeah," said Jon, emerging from the other one.

The two looked at each other and laughed. It sounded eerily similar, and they looked as similar except for makeup, clothes, and the obvious differences between guys and girls.

"So you're two people?" asked Karyn. "What do you remember?"

"I remember my real life as Jon," said Jonnie, "but I wished to know enough of the new reality to get along."

"So do I!" said Jon. "We're really the same person but in this reality we have to pretend we're not... pretend like we're really brother and sister."

"Yeah," said Jonnie. "Like I'm not supposed to like video games. We've got to play some deathmatches with the two of us together, but if we do people will think it's strange... I think that one isn't too hard to explain, though. I can say I changed my mind. Or I can say I picked up something from being merged for a few days--nobody has to know we were the same person for more than just a few days."

"What about the fair?" asked Karyn. "Does that mean we're still going to the fair with the same people? Or at least that one of you is? They have to have known about the accident, so they must have had something in mind for if it wears off."

"Well," replied Jon, "yes they did. You see..."
