"I wish," said Karyn, "that I can change from one person who's the sex I was born as, into two girls and back, with a much better range and time limit than the last wish, and that Jon have this power too."
Jon felt he had to look away as for other wishes. "I get it..." he said. "'the sex I was born as'. If you just said you were female, I'd have to be female too, but if you say the sex you're born in, I can have the same power and still be male. But it won't work."
"Why not?"
"It..." Jon realized his body was back to normal. It really isn't hard to know when you suddenly gained a penis and your body changed shape, even without peeking. "Wait a minute, it did work. But the first wish... the one where I lost my penis in the first place..."
"The wish was that I didn't see it. If you had been split into two girls at the time, I wouldn't have seen a penis, right?"
"Wow. I guess it took long enough, but one of us eventually figured it out. So it's really over and I'm a guy again... Thanks, Karyn. I really appreciate having a friend like you."
Jon hugged Karyn, but found his arms being suddenly pushed apart. Then he realized he was trying to hug two Karyns standing next to each other. Fortunately the power provided them with clothes.
One of the Karyns ran off to catch the bus, waving, and the other said, "Well, now I can take all the time I want."
"Wait a minute," said Jon. "I realize it's all good and I'm back to normal, but..."
"Yeah, Jon?"
"I wonder if we're still going to the fair. If in the new reality I can change into two girls, then Gabe and Pete and Eric could have still asked you and me and Stephanie out, right? I wish I knew what our plans are tonight, in this reality."
