In this new reality, the stone told Jon, his parents had raised him as a girl. For a moment Jon didn't think that was possible, then he realized it was a natural mistake. On the day Jon was born, the obstetrician had looked between his legs, spotted his baby vagina, and proclaimed, "It's a girl!"
Lacking any evidence to the contrary, Jon's parents had naturally raised him as a girl. His childhood memories were of dolls and little tea sets and dresses and pinafores. Then he hit puberty and all hell broke loose. Rather than breasts, Jon's upper half had developed a thicker frame, wider shoulders, bulkier muscles, and facial hair. Medical testing let to a strange assortment of conflicting results but one thing was certain: Jon's upper half was male and his lower half was female.
Before his diagnosis, Jon had always used women's washrooms and taken girl's gym class. Afterwards, being fifty-fifty, he had his choice. But around school and other places where people had known him a long time, it was easier if he just kept using the women's room. And so, after dealing with Stephanie and his new purse and the tampons, Jon walked with Stephanie to the girl's room and glided in behind her.
A few girls flinched when he entered the room but most of them recognized Jon and accepted his presence. Jon had to wait in line for a stall, during which some girls faced away and others stopped to make small talk. Several of the girls asked what this or that guy might think about them, or abaout one of their friends. Eventually, of course, a stall came free and Jon went inside to do his business.
Taking a pee was confusing to say the least. It seemed to come out of the wrong hole, of course, and Jon had no idea how to direct the flow away from his slacks, panties, or shoes. Fortunately, however, they stayed dry. He'd heard somewhere that girls should always wipe them selves after peeing, and that the proper motion was front-to-back only. Despite not liking his vagina and inner parts very much, it made sense not to wipe piss inside.
When Jon left the stall Karyn was standing at the mirror and fixing her makeup. If a few other girls had flinched at Jon's presence, Karyn just about jumped through the roof. Jon replied with a direct look and a shrug, which seemed to calm Karyn down a bit, and then he left the room and headed for gym class.
Just outside the girl's locker room, however, Jon discovered his friends Gabe and Pete. At least, they'd always been his friends before this crazy reality shift. Now, they seemed to be friendly in a different way.
"Hey Jon, are we still on for tonight?" Gabe asked.
"You mean..." Jon began.
"Yeah, you and Karyn and Stephanie agreed to go out with me and Pete and Eric. We're going to the fair, remember?" Gabe explained. "The thing is, Eric's dad changed his mind about letting us have the motor home."
