"Jon, are you feeling okay?" asked Stephanie. "You're acting weird."
"It's nothing," said Jon, touching the stone. "I wish you'd forget about it anyway."
"Forget about what?" asked Stephanie.
Then Jon made another wish, whispered to himself. After all, why did he need to go about asking people what his life was like and embarrassing himself when he had a better source of information? And while he was at it he could get rid of that voice. "I wish I had my male voice again. And I wish I knew more about my new history in this body, including what washrooms to use and why I have so many condoms."
The answer soon came to him, and he wondered if he was going to need another wish to change it. But he and Karyn had already decided not to risk further wishes before doing research, and he was already ignoring that far too much, having made several wishes in the past few minutes. Reluctantly, Jon took his hand away from the stone in his pocket. He'd continue the wishing later after meeting Karyn in the library, and in the meantime he'd just have to deal with....
