Walking through the mall, Jon couldn't help but feel self-conscious due to his current situation. He felt as if everyone knew; as if they could tell he was missing the one thing that made him a guy. Allowing his thoughts to drift a bit, Jon started to lag slightly behind Emily and Karyn as they walked through the mall. Jon was amazed at how cute Emily had become over the years.

"Jon..."

He knew it was a hard circumstance that she was going through with her family, yet he couldn't help but feel attracted to her now. It was then he started to have a familiar yet strange feeling down below.

"Jon!"

Jon was startled out of his daze and saw Karyn waving her hands in front his face.

"What? Oh, I'm sorry."

"Are you ok?" Emily couldn't help but appear slightly concerned for him at the moment. "I know you must feel a bit uncomfortable right now, but I think it's really cool that you're being as good of a sport as you are right now."

That's when Karyn started to notice that Emily was more than a bit enamoured with Jon. It should've been more obvious earlier, however with everything going on, Karyn wasn't surprised that she was distracted from seeing it. "Hey you two, let's go to the food court and get something to eat. I'm a bit famished from all of the running around that we've had to do so far."

While they were eating, Emily and Jon spent a large portion of the time back and forth between catching up with each other and ackwardly waiting for the right thing to say. Karyn started feeling a little bit like a third wheel, but she didn't want to stop them from having a good time.

"Still," she thought, "I'm allowed to have a little fun while we're here." A funny thought crossed Karyn's mind which she had to see happen while they were there. She knew Jon was a heavy soda drinker and could knock down a 32 oz soda like nothing. Of course, he was used to having what Karyn was sure was a larger bladder than the one he had now.

"Need me to grab a refill for you Jon?" Karyn inquired.

"Sure, thanks."

Jon turned momentarily to watch Karyn get up from the table when he felt a hand on top of his. He glanced back at Emily who took the moment to give him a quick peck on the cheek.

"What was that for?" Jon asked.

Emily blushed, "I have a small confession to make Jon. I used to have a bit of a crush on you when we were younger, but I never said anything before I moved away. I always promised myself that if I ever ran into you again that I would say something this time around."

Jon started to have that strange feeling again while he looked into Emily's eyes. "I kinda had a crush on you too. Of course, it had to be today of all days that we finally confessed how we feel to each other. I mean..."

"You mean since we're both technically girls right now?" Emily giggled. "Don't worry Jon, I'll still like you anyways, even if you are a girl where it counts." With that she gave him a quick pat down below, but pulled her hand back quickly after she received a small shock.

"My goodness Jon, you ARE happy to see me!" Emily couldn't hold back a laugh, "We're going to need to find you a new pair of pants. It seems you're a bit damp."
