When I opened my eyes, I was shocked to see that there was no sign of Emily. I shook my head with a growl. "What happened?!"
Karyn seemed to look confused as well. "I dunno.. there definately was a wish granted though.. you could feel it!"
I nodded in confirmation. "Definately... let me see that?" I said, motioning for the stone. Karyn placed it into my eager palm. "I wish that we knew the location of the Emily from the previous wish..." I said.
Instantly, I heard a voice say "Emily is located within 1 foot of the stone's location. Thank you."
I shook my head. "The damn thing must be broken.. Emily is not here..."
"Maybe she's the driver?" Karyn chimed in. I rolled down the divider between us and the driver. "Excuse me, sir..." Karyn began.
The elderly driver turned to face us. "You two just sit tight, now. We're almost to the airport." He said with a polite smile. Blinking a little, I rolled the partition back up.
"That wasn't her, ya think?" I murmured. I then looked over at Karyn, who was staring at me, bug-eyed. I gave him a confused blink. "What...?"
"Jon... your stomach!" he exclaimed. Looking down and putting my hands on it in shock, I noticed a slight paunch that wasn't there before I made the wish.
"Oh my God..." I said, nearly breathlessly. "I'm pregnant with Emily!"
