Jon paused for a moment and then in a realistic sounding feminine voice said, "Shane's Beauty Shop, this is Jon, how may I help you?"
"Better much better. However we can't have you saying Jon and sounding like a girl, can we?" Shane said. "Let's see what would be a good girl's name for you to use "
After a minute of thought she said, "I know. You will say you are Jennifer when you answer the phone. Try it again."
"Shane's Beauty Shop, this is Jennifer, how may I help you?" Jon said, sounding just like a girl his age.
"Perfect." Shane said. "You will answer the phone, book reservations, sweep up, and shampoo hair."
"Yes Ma'am." Jon said, not knowing why he had agreed to this.
