"What's wrong Casey?" I wish that Shane would let me work as a stylist here, it would be so much fun. I have all the training, but we don't seem to have the customers, and most of the people would rather have her do their styles".
"You know, if there were more customers, then Karyn could work here as well as Jon. I've been hoping he gets the courage to ask her out, they seem so right for each other."
"You're right Janet. I wish we had enough business that Karyn and I worked here." Casey said as she absentmindedly fiddled with the rock in her left hand. "Of course, if people would take Shane's recommendations, then we'd have a lot more business."
"Come on Casey, you know some of her ideas are a bit too young for her clientelle, she wanted me to have a french braided up do with red and black striping."
"But it would look good on you, I don't think you understand how good you look Janet. I just wish you'd do what Shane suggests." Casey finished writing out the receipt and handed it and the rock to Janet. "Look at how Karyn turned out. of course, she is a showpiece for the salon"
Taking the rock, Janet said, "It's good that Karyn works here, I wish that she can take charge of her relationship, romance, whatever with Jon. Of course since they both work here, she might be a handful. I do so wish she does what Shane tells her."
"Well, goodbye Casey, have a good week" So saying, Janet left the salon, stone now placed safely(?) in her purse.
