"Sooooooooo," Karen said in long drawn out fashion. "What did loverboy want? Does he have some hugs and kisses for his little Shellsy wellsy???"
Jon rolled her now pretty eyes.
"You are so retarded Karen. And for your information, all he said was that he was coming here to pick me up in about 10 minutes. Apparently we have some "thing" to go to. He seemed pretty into it really. It's too bad I'll have to disappoint him."
"Hold on a sec there. You mean he's coming here?" Karen asked with surprise.
"Looks like," Jon replied. "But as I was saying, he's just gonna be wasting his time. I fully intend to be back to my numero uno, big bad studly self by the time he gets here."
Jon picked up the stone, turning it over and over in her now elegant and refined hand. "Now, how do I word the wish so there will be no mistakes?"
"Wait!!!," Karen blurted out. "Aren't you even the slightest bit curious as to who this guy is, or what he looks like? I mean you are fabulously rich, beautiful and well to do. He might be someone famous. Please don't make your wish until I see who he is. Ok Jon???
Jon looked at Karen.
"No way Jose."
"Pllllleeeeeeaaaaaaassssseeeeeee," Karen begged with puppy dog eyes, and the cutest little smile she could muster.
Jon stared hard at Karen, trying to resist her.
"Come on Jon. For me."
Jon couldn't take it any longer. "Dammit Karen, you owe me for this. You owe me big time."
Karen clapped her hands and grinned at Jon. "YES!!!! You're the best Jon. THE BEST!!!"
Jon smiled back. "Guilty as charged."
Karen and Jon waited patiently by a window that gave a good view of the street. It wasn't long before a black stretch limo pulled up. The driver stepped out, and walked over to the rear door.
"Holy shit!" Karen exclaimed. "I told you it would be someone rich and famous!"
"Pipe down already, let's just see who it is and get it over with ok?" Jon shot back.
The driver reached out, and took hold of the door handle...
He opened the door...
And Jon's boyfriend stepped out onto the street.
