Nina left the pendant where it was sitting on the vanity and went back to join Jon who was watching the girls dance. Jon barely noticed Nina sit beside him once more as he was once more on the lookout for Karyn on the stage.
As he watched he couldn’t see his friend anywhere. All the dancers looked to old to be Karyn. He thought that of the dancers he could see were in their mid-twenties far too old to be his friend. He looked round and it was then he noticed Nina sitting beside him.
“Nina where is Karyn? I can’t see her. Jon asked his new friend. “She is just at the side of the stage” Nina replied. Jon turned to look at the stage and he still couldn’t see his friend.
Seeing the look of despair in his eyes Nina turned to and said, “If you want to, we can go back to the dressing room and we can see her when see comes off stage.” “Could we please?” Jon asked beginning to fear for his long time friend who was acting very strangely when he last saw her.
