"My knowledge of this world is limited to the body I currently inhabit. You two will prove useful in expanding this knowledge," Stone Chad spoke. "I will go out and discover what I need to know. The rest, you shall inform me of. Until then, you two will not be leaving this room." He flicked his wrist at Julie. At first, nothing seemed to happen, but then she began to yell out in pain.
"What is it? What's wrong?" Jon asked.
"I ... I can't move!" she yelled. Then she shrieked when she looked down at herself. "What the hell is happening to my skin?"
Jon watched as Julie's skin turned gray, looking almost like ... stone? And after only a few more seconds, she was no longer alive. She had become a statue, like one from Ancient Greece. It looked just like one of those female statues, only this one had Julie's face. Jon turned back towards Stone Chad. "You didn't have to do that!" he yelled.
Yelling at someone with the power of the stone was probably the worst thing he could do, but he couldn't just stand by and have no reaction at all. His friend's girlfriend was just turned into a statue! Was she dead now, forced to remain as a statue forever? Jon didn't know.
"Your anger is understandable, but not acceptable," Stone Chad said, still in that eerie monotone voice. He didn't sound angry, but Jon could tell through his words that he was.
Jon braced himself, knowing that Stone Chad would probably punish him. He just hoped that his punishment wasn't too bad.
