Steve smiled and snapped his new fingers. "I'll let the cops handle this one. After all, I'm James now, an upstanding member of the community who pays his tax's, why not let them handle this problem for me."
Steve looked around his apartment for some clothes that would fix a little better than what he had been wearing. Finally he decided just to wear the swim trunks that he had used to change into James. He picked up a towel and headed out to the apartment complex's swimming pool. He dove in, got right out and headed over to a nearby payphone. He quickly dialed 911.
"Hello 911, please state the nature of your emergency." A female voice said on the other side of the phone.
"Hello, I think someone has broken into my apartment and is still in there right now."
Steve quickly gave the address and James' name. Within a few minutes a police car silently pulled up in front of the apartment complex. Steve smiled to himself as he saw two police officers getting out of the car. He hurried over to them and quickly explained that he had had left his door unlocked when he had gone out to go swimming. When he got back to the door, he heard a noise and saw a strange girl in his apartment running around in her underwear. Being the law-abiding citizen that he was, he thought he should call the police, as the girl might be mentally disturbed.
The police officers told 'James' to stand back as they approached the apartment. They both drew their weapons as a precaution as they stopped in front of the door. Steve smiled again thinking that James was about to get a major surprise.
