What's in a name?

So, what name will you pick?"
Jon thought for a moment. He didn't want to have any girl's name at all, but more than that he didn't want to be called Agnes, even though it was his Grandmother's name. "Ummm, how about Sharon," he suggested nervously.
"Sharon," Karen repeated, "why Sharon?
"Well, it's close to Karen, and you are my very best friend in the whole world, but different enough so that people won't confuse us," answered Jon quickly.
"All right, Sharon it is then. Jon, COMMAND OVERRIDE, ALL REFERENCES TO SELF PERSONAL DESCRIPTION: NAME JON TO BE REPLACED WITH NEW PERSONAL NAME SHARON. ALL SELF PERSONAL PRONOUNS AND GENDER DESCRIPTIONS LIKEWISE TO NOW BE ALTERED TO FEMINE FORM. SAVE AND EXECUTE."
"So Jon, tell me your name and gender please," asked Karen in order to test her programming skills.
"My name is Sharon and I'm a girl," replied the former Jon quickly.
"OK, now try to describe yourself as your old name and sex," ordered Karen.
"All right," began Jon, "My name used to be Sharon, and I was a girl... Hang on, yesterday my name was Sharon and I was fema..."
"Excellent," beamed Karen, "Now lets get you inside and show you off to your friends. I'm sure that they will just love the new you, don't you think so?"
"But Karen, you aren't going to tell them that I was you know who, are you?" Wined Sharon (formerly Jon).
"Not if you behave and do as I tell you. Not that it matters much anyway as I can make you do anything I want, but I think that since we are supposed to be friends it would be best if you went along with things a bit. What do you say Shazz, ready to meet the guys?"
"Might as well I suppose," replied Sharon defeatedly.
"Good enough then. Shake your ass Shazz and let's get inside."
Karen and Sharon (Jon) walked side by side into the mall's main enterance. Sharon was having a little trouble in HER heels, so took small, fairly slow steps to avoid stumbling. Unfortunately for HER, it also had the undesireable effect of making her walk appear to be very feminine and quite sexy, almost like she was on the prowl for guys.
Karen noticed this quickly and did nothing to change the situation.
Once inside, Sharon asked, "So, where do you want to go first?"
"Oh I don't know," Karen pondered, "Let's look at a few clothes shops and see if anyone... I mean anything grabs us."
