As soon as she thought that, her mother said, "Jennifer, it looks like someone is waiting for you."
Jennifer looked to where her mother was pointing and she panicked.
"Hi Jennifer." Said Roy, the boy that had been waiting for Jennifer. "You look pretty today."
Jennifer, as Jon, had known Roy. He was a nice enough guy, about six months from changing from a boy to a young man and a bit too shy to have much luck with the girls. Jon had befriended Roy. It appeared that Jennifer had also befriended Roy.
Only with Jon, it had been friends between two guys, nothing sexual at all. With Jennifer, it appeared that Roy was more than a bit interested in Jennifer as a girl.
'God, I hope that Roy isn't my boyfriend.' Jennifer prayered to herself.
Roy made no attempt to hold Jennifer's hand, but he did hold up the door for them.
Inside the church, Roy, Karyn, and Jennifer headed to Sunday School for teens their age. Once in the room, Roy went to the boy's side, while Karyn and Jennifer went to the girl's side.
"Roy is still following you around like a little puppy." Said Sarah, who never had a nice thing to say about anyone. "Even someone like you can do better than a dork like Roy."

Sarah looked at Jennifer in shock. First she knew that she had been insulted by Jennifer, but she didn't know how. Second, Jennifer was usually such a wimp, and now she was coming on strong.
Racking her brains, Sarah came up with a cutting come back, "Whatever." She announced and turned her back to Jennifer.
Karyn pulled Jennifer off to the side and whispered to her, "What got into you Jennifer? I have never seen you go after Sarah like that, not that she didn't deserve it."
"It is just that she picks on anyone that she knows won't fight back. Roy is a nice guy, he doesn't deserve that sort of abuse."
Before Karyn could continue her questions, the teacher entered the room and asked everyone to take their seats.
Instead of paying attention to the class, Karyn wondered if Jon, as Jennifer had learned his lesson or if it was just that Jennifer was a nicer person than was Jon.
She was still thinking that as she and Jennifer headed to the mall to get another five days of clothes for Jennifer. Once the two started shopping, Karyn's mind was fully occupied with clothes.
That night as Karyn lay in bed, she wondered once more if Jon had learned his lesson.
"I wish
