Jennifer slept in, much like Jon did, just not as late. Jennifer knew that she would need more time to get ready for church than it took Jon, a lot more time.
She was still almost late, even though she had allowed over two hours to get ready. 'But it was worth the effort.' She thought as she took one last look at her reflection in the full length mirror in her bed room.
As she slowly twist first to the left and then to right, she had to agree that she did look good in this dress. It was an airy dress that was so light weight that she had to wear a slip underneath it. 'I do wish that Mom didn't insist that I wear nylons.' She thought, although she did think that they made her legs look better.
"Hurry up Jennifer, or we will be late." Her mother called from the kitchen.
"Coming Mother." Jennifer responded as she picked up her matching purse, double checked to make sure that she had put everything she might need in it, and then joined her mother.
"You and Karyn want to go shopping after church?" her mother asked.
"You don't mind, do you?"
"No. Well maybe a little buy when I was your age, the last thing I wanted to do was go shopping with my mother. She had no fashion sense."
"I knew you would understand." Jennifer told her mother with a smile. "But maybe next time we will go sopping for you. I do hope I inherited my fashion sense from Daddy."
"Oh you vixen." Her mother said. "Get that fashionable body of yours into the car or else you will be walking to church."
"Yes ma'am." Jennifer said as she headed out to the car.
The two stopped to pick up Karyn before heading on to church. Each of the females had complimented the other two on their dress.
As their car pulled into the church's parking lot, Jennifer thought to herself, 'I can handle this. Being a girl isn't that bad.'
As soon as she thought that, her mother said, "Jennifer, it looks like someone is waiting for you."
Jennifer looked to where her mother was pointing and she panicked.
