Before Jon's mother could continue, Karyn had pulled the wishing rock out and said, "I wish that until Jon finishes his ten tasks, that his mother thinks he is a girl named Jennifer and that she only sees him as her daughter."
With that wish, Jon's mother now saw her son as her daughter named Jennifer.
"Gee thanks Karyn." Jennifer said. "I really needed that."
Jon's mother needed several seconds to accept her new reality. Once she fully accepted her new reality, she took in the view of the two girls.
"Jennifer. I wish you had let me go shopping with you and Karyn. I do expect a fashion show of everything you bought."
A short time later, Jennifer and Karyn were modeling the clothes that they had bought. Before long Jennifer and Karyn were treating the other as if Jennifer had always been female.
"I think that dress would be perfect to wear to church tomorrow, don't you Jennifer?" Her mother asked.
Jennifer looked at her reflection in the mirror and in spite of herself had to agree. "Yes Mother. I picked out this dress just for occasions like going to church."
Once the girls had finished the fashion show, Karyn said, "I had best head home. Are you up to shopping after church tomorrow?"
"Yes." Both Jennifer and her mother answered, then Jennifer found herself actually giggling with her mother over their answer.
After Karyn left, Jennifer was surprised how close she felt to her mother. She couldn't put her finger on what was different, but Jennifer felt closer to her mother than Jon could ever remember being.
After an enjoyable evening, Jennifer headed to her room to prepare for bed. She undressed and put her dirty clothes into the hamper and removed her make-up and applied moisturizers creams before going to bed.
