Nothing seemed to happen and relieved Jon went to bed, thinking he had made a lucky escape, sadly that was not the case, in fact a new disease had been created in the new reality created by the stone, advanced, indeed secretly magical research had created a virus which slowly transformed humans into mythical creatures, there was no limit to what people might become, and even though most people retained their human intelligence and original personality they also acquired the magical abilities, weaknesses and strengths of whatever mythical creature they became, this made some people a serious danger to others and so anyone entering the initial stages was required to be taken away to a special containment area till they proved themselves relatively harmless and in control of their new powers. Jon was entering the first stages, and he wasn't alone, several other people were also undergoing the process. Jon's mother found him and his sister both in the initial stages and called for the proper authorities, she was upset but she feared for her safety as well as that of her youngest.
When Jon woke up, he found he was in an unfamiliar bed he got out of bed and found two doors, the first led to a bathroom, the second was locked, after banging on the locked door for several minutes a doctor came to the door , Jon demanded to know what was happening. which is when he found out about MMS, after being told to read the booklet on his bedside table he sat down, for the first time he saw his legs and noticed....
