All of a sudden, Zoe bowed her head and began to glow. Zoe wasn't quite sure what this wolf-thing was about to do to Jon, but she wasn't going to let it happen. Karyn had jumped Jon and he was on the floor, her saliva fell on his face. A burst of energy lept from Zoe's hands towards the beast. Karyn was knocked unconscious.
"What the--" Jon stammered.
Zoe explained, "Please, Jon, how arrogant are you to think that you are the only thing in the world that possesses anything magic. I am by my very being magic. I am a witch. Novice, witch, but witch, nonetheless."
Jon's jaw was wide as Karyn began to get up...
