Kyla looked around the room. All the clothes seemed to be much like what she was wearing. She grabbed a purse. There was a driver's license with her picture on it and a set of keys. Something was going on. She had to figure it out. It was like a science problem.
Kyla, feeling determined, took the car. She'd taken driver's ed, at her mother's insistence, and it certainly had come in handy. She pulled up in front of her house and rang the bell.
Her mother answered the door. "Can I help you?" She asked. She obviously didn't recognize Kyla in the slightest.
She was surprised how easily a lie came to her. "I'm Ms. Jones, from the Intel Science Talent Search. Your daughter submitted a paper to us, and we were very impressed, and wanted to extend an invitation to her to visit one of our facilities for a full guided tour."
"Well, she's upstairs. Would you like to come in?"
"Only for a moment," Kyla said, not sure how long she could keep it together. She felt oddly calm though. "I do have another appointment."
She couldn't hide her surprise at who came down the stairs wearing her clothes.
