As it turned out, the person that got Jon Gibson's name was Sarah McMillan, the very person Jon was going to be changing! So they got each other. Sarah knew Jon, but chose to not interact with him, as they ran in different circles. In her opinion, he was nothing more than a dweeb, a loser, someone who was way out of her league. But maybe she could change that? Would she try to improve Jon's life, or berate it like the jerk she was?

======

Jon's Goth sister Zoe came down the stairs. "Is that what I think it is?" she asked. She stomped over towards him and tried to grab the strip of paper out of his hand. "Gimme that."

"Hey, what's your problem?" Jon asked, keeping the strip of paper away from her.

"I just wanna see whose name you got. You didn't get Athena, did you?" she asked. Athena DeVries was Zoe's best friend.

"No," he said. Then after a pause, he said "Athena is taking part in this? Just how many people are involved?"

"A bunch, but only one person per house, which is why your name is in there but mine isn't. So ... who did you get?"

"Sarah McMillan," Jon said.

"You got that bitch?!" Zoe then broke out in laughter, something uncommon for the Goth girl, but it was nice to see anyway. "If anyone deserves to get fucked over, it's her."

"Zoe, language," their mom admonished, walking into the room. "Dinner is ready. Someone go tell Mikey to come down here," she said, before heading back into the kitchen.

======

The rest of the night was uneventful, except for Zoe constantly giving Jon ideas about how to change Sarah, which got a bit annoying after a while. But it was kind of nice that Zoe actually wanted to do something with Jon for once, instead of keeping her distance and acting all perturbed all the time.

Once the next morning came around, though, things got a lot more interesting (or disturbing, depending on which way you wanted to look at it).
