"This is my bed," he insisted, holding up his arms. "You're my teacher, what are you doing here?"
Lydia kept throwing things at him, fortunately not anything breakable, mostly stuffed animals. "A teacher?" It sounded like the silliest thing in the world to her. "I'm Lydia Madison. This is my room. That was my mom."
Mikey kept dodging...stuffed animals? He didn't have any stuffed animals. He advanced and grabbed her hand. "Stop it!" he said. "I'm not trying to hurt you. This is my room. That's my bed. You're the one who doesn't belong here."
"Lydia," his mother called. "It's your turn in the shower."
Mikey frowned. Didn't his mother say she was going to call the police?
Lydia broke free from his grip and ran to the other side of the room and grabbed the wishing stone. "I wish he'd leave," she whispered.
Mikey suddenly left the room without a word. Outside the door, he suddenly blinked, unsure of why he'd just done that. Inside the door, Lydia blinked. "Coming, Mom," she said.
Mikey still wasn't sure what was going on, but he needed to hide until he figured this out.
