"I am not wearing that," Zoe said. "I hate pink."
"Well, you better start liking it soon, because pink is all you're going to wear," Sarah told her.
"This isn't fair!"
"Uh, Mom?" Mikey said.
"What?" she snapped.
"Uh, I was going to go with Gina and play some video games at the arcade. Can I go?"
"No," she said.
"What? Why?"
"I'm not having a son rotting his life away playing video games. You should do sports. How about joining the soccer league?"
"Soccer? Mom, I'm not interested in sports."
Sarah's temper was reaching its limit. "Listen! You are going to do soccer," she said, then spun towards Zoe. "And you are going to wear pink. Are we clear?"
As Mikey and Gina walked away, the nearly obese girl turned to him and said "Your mom is being unfair. Let's just do it anyway."
"Go against my mom?" After the way she acted, Mikey didn't want to make her more upset than she already was. He missed his real mom more than ever. She never had a problem with him playing video games.
"She'll never know that we're gone," Gina said.
What should Mikey do?
