Sabrina laughed. "You're all right," she declared. Sabrina couldn't stand people who made fun of her. But she didn't feel made fun of by this girl. Sabrina knew she wasn't like other people, and that suited her just fine.
"Thanks," Mikey said, not sure if he meant it. Sabrina scared young Mikey, and even Mikey in Melany a bit. She often looked angry enough to hurt someone. He'd seen her dozens of times in Zoe's company, but now they were the same height. Maybe that helped.
"So...you want help finding this ghost?" Sabrina asked, suddenly friendly.
"It isn't a ghost, exactly," Mikey said. "But yeah, I guess." He peeked back inside the window. "We have to get inside and see what's happening," he declared. "It went upstairs...they always go to the bedrooms."
"Well, that's easy. I know who lives here..." Sabrina said.
