He went home. Karyn and Zoe were sitting on the couch.
He'd expected Karyn to become more like Jon, like other people were doing. But for some reason, her changes were minimal. She was still a blonde girl. Even though no one in the family had blonde hair before, now they had two out of three children with blonde hair.
Occasionally, Zoe, whose black hair had shifted to red...which was Karyn's mom's hair color, lightly touched Karyn's hand. Were they two girls in a relationship? Or did one of them think they were a boy?
People's changes were proceeding at different rates, and some little. Some weren't really changing at all.
He went to his room and started to make a list.
Jon - Acts a lot like Miss Warren
Miss Warren - Needs glasses now - haven't seen her since
Kyla - Mom-age
Mom - where is she now?
Sarah - Not like Zoe
Zoe - more like Karyn's family
Karyn - not very different
He did have a big gap in his information. When Mom replaced the doctor, where did the doctor go? Who had Sarah been before? But it didn't matter. He was going to put things right.
He went up to his room. "I wish that my previous wish would stop." Nothing happened. The stone didn't flash. "I wish I knew why that wish didn't work."
A voice spoke in his head. =Wishes cannot be reversed. The wish completed when Karyn assumed Jon's clothes. Jon cannot shower again as the wish suggested because he is not Jon anymore. He now goes by Janine. Therefore no actions will be taken.=
"So, I'm stuck?" There was no answer. "I wish I'd know a way to fix this."
=Reversing a wish directly is not possible. But your wish was vague. Therefore, new wishes can change things.=
"I wish to know how." Nothing happened. It was a wishing stone, not a genie.
He'd have to think of a way out. He thought back to the original wish...and then it came to him. "I wish..."
