Mikey, as a precaution, when he was alone, wished that until he wished otherwise, Sarah would have real witch powers. The seeking spell used a compass at its heart, and early in the morning, Sarah and Mikey went out to use it.

Elsewhere, Jon/Janine Warren finished her jog and walked into the shower. When she was done, her face grew blank and she walked out of her apartment and headed down the street.

The compass needle spun around and finally started detecting something, and Sarah and Mikey were in hot pursuit.

By the time they caught up with the source, they spotted a tall thin and pale teenager walking down the street without any shoes or socks with a glazed look on his face.

"That's Jay Duncan, from school. He's going to be valedictorian," Sarah said.

"What's he doing?" Mikey asked.

Sarah pulled the hood of the cloak she was wearing over her head and held his hand. "There's a spell on it so no one will notice us," she told him.

They followed him to an apartment building in a poorer part of town, the door giving no resistance to him, and up a flight of stairs. They could hear a baby crying and being soothed by his mother.

Jay entered the one-room apartment, the mother, who appeared pregnant with her second child. The first looked to be perhaps two years old. He removed what was left of his clothing and began putting on a maternity dress from the woman's closet as Sarah and Mikey watched.

He walked over to the chair, where the mother was rocking her toddler. Her singing and cooing suddenly stopped and she got up and handed him the toddler. She brushed against him as Jay started to sit down. Mikey thought he saw something move, and then the woman started toward them, toward the door.

"Stop her from leaving," Sarah said. They tried, and the strange woman tried for a few seconds before she turned around and moved toward the dresser, stripping out of her clothes and putting on a diaper, which magically swelled to fit her.

In her arms, the toddler stopped crying and slipped out of Jay's lap, and slipped out the door before Sarah and Mikey could catch her. He was replaced by his mother.

"Mama," the full grown woman said to Jay.

"Yes, sweetie, Mama. Mama is going to put you in your playpen so she can watch The Price is Right," Jay said, getting up and waddling to the playpen with the woman, who climbed in and began to play.

There was a bulge under the maternity dress. Apparently the woman hadn't just left her life behind, she'd left the baby.

Sarah ran out of the apartment, Mikey in tow. They didn't stop till they reached the street. She pulled the hood off and took a series of deep breaths. "This is dark magic," she said, frightened.

"But...that woman was going to leave, we changed where she was going," he reminded her.

Sarah looked at him. "We can keep trying, I guess. If I didn't believe you before..."

They tracked the baby to a retirement home, where he had taken the place of an old woman. Fortunately, she couldn't move that fast, and they caught her. "Where do we want her to go?" Mikey asked.
