In the hallway, she pushed open the door to the bedroom of Kyla Leeson, one the geekiest girls in the local high school. She was thin and small breasted, and had an acne-filled face and thick glasses. Her somewhat greasy hair was always pulled back into a ponytail.
Lydia dropped her sports bra on the floor and switched to one of Kyla's plain ones, covering it up with a green, red, and yellow stripped shirt and overalls. Her hair was already a bit disheveled, sweaty, and pulled into a ponytail. She headed downstairs.
As she did, Kyla's mind suddenly went blank, and she vacated her chair, dropping her glasses as she did and starting out of the dining room.
Lydia slipped into her chair and put on her glasses. "That's funny," she said, taking them off.
"What is, dear?" Her mother asked.
"I can see without my glasses."
Then Kyla went out of earshot, leaving the house.
