Zoe exited the room. "Parents," she chuckled as she closed the door behind her. Zoe moved on to the next room, Mikey’s.
“Mikey.” Zoe called out as she opened the door. “It’s time to get up.” Not surprisingly she heard a groan from under the covers.
“Do I have to?” Mikey asked groggily. Zoe made a frustrated noise.
“Michael Gibson,” She said raising her voice. “I’ve just had this exact same conversation with your mother. Unless you are ill then you are going to get up and go to school. Is that clear?”
Mikey sat up confused. Something about that statement seemed wrong. As he looked at Zoe a thought came to him. “Doesn’t mom usually wake us?” The thought quickly left as Mikey shook his head and saw the look across Zoe’s face.
“Alright,” He told her. “I’m getting up.” Satisfied, Zoe left the room leaving Mikey to his thoughts. That glare and tone of voice seemed normal coming from Zoe, so why did he think that his mother usually woke them up?
Mikey shook his head and started to pick out the clothes that he would wear for the day. He wondered if he could beat his mother to the shower this morning.
