Linda pulled off the covers. "Do I have to?"
"Yes, Mom...you don't want to be late, do you?" Zoe said.
"Maybe I want to stay home today..." Linda said.
"Unless you are sick, you aren't staying home today," the teen replied. "Do you need me to come back and check on you?"
The older woman pouted. "No...I'll get up."
Zoe exited the room. "Parents," she chuckled.
