He turned to his friend Jimmy to see if he noticed anything...only Jimmy wasn't there. Miss Warren was sitting in Jimmy's seat dressed in Jimmy's clothes.
"Psst," Miss Warren whispered. "Have you got a pencil?"
Mikey spent the next hour not really paying attention to the lesson, but to Jimmy and Jon. Jon made a decent Miss Warren. He wasn't identical. It was more like a good actor playing a part. He seemed to be growing better with time.
Miss Warren wasn't acting exactly like Jimmy, but she was acting more like a kid...perhaps her version of being Jimmy. When Jon started the math lesson, she seemed to be doing every problem quickly, like an adult, but that speed was quickly eroding.
