It was just after five o'clock and Fannie Madison was eager to get home and just relax after a somewhat busy, but fulfilling, day's of work. On her way to her car, however, she remembered that she was going to stop by that women's apparel store on her way home.
So with that thought in mind, she drove down the street about a block, parked her car, then headed into the store. The clothing she saw was a bit racier than what she was used to, but she didn't seem to have a problem with that. She browsed the shop, looking for something that interested her, tried a few outfits on in the changing room, then ended up buying three new blouses, four new skirts (all shorter than the ones she already owned), and even bought some new underwear.
When she headed to her car, she briefly wondered if she might have gone overboard, not just buying a lot, but just buying anything at all. She had no idea what had come over her this afternoon, but she felt different somehow, like not quite herself. Shaking her head, she got in her car and headed home.
Joni and the others spent about another twenty minutes drinking their coffee and discussing the books they were reading. When they were done, they placed bookmarks in them so that they'd be able to pick up where they left off later.
As they once again loaded up in Jayne's car, Linda finally reached her target age of 15 years old, thus completing her transformation, becoming Iliana DeVries.
And then they were off to The Occult Stop. By now, it was past five o'clock, so Joni's mother would be getting home soon. But Joni could care less about that. All she cared about was hanging out with her friends, which she planned on doing til the late hours of the night.
