The former Derek Lettman walked down at least three blocks from his former house and entered an apartment complex, then entered apartment 2D. It was the apartment that belonged to Mark Burlington, P.E. teacher at Lake Point South and coach of the football team there. Out of all the teachers, he was the strongest and some even thought the meanest, but usually only when he was coaching his team.

Derek entered the man's bedroom, then stripped out of his emo clothes. And then, after putting on new underwear and clothing, he snapped out of his daze.

"What the hell am I doing back here?" he asked aloud. And then the next moment, the strangest thing happened. He remembered an entirely new life. A life where he was picked on by bullies, a life where he felt hatred for himself and his lousy life, a life where he was fond of other boys, but never made any move to ask them out, afraid of what they might do to him ... it was the life of an emo boy. Coach Derek Burlington was disgusted by these memories. He had no idea where they had come from, but more than anything, he wanted them gone. He didn't want to know what it was like to be an emo. What good would it do him?

He was about to leave, to get back to the school, but before he made a move, he realized that something was wrong, besides having new memories. He didn't feel as strong as usual. He looked at himself in the mirror and nearly passed out at what he saw. His body was lanky, his hair was too long (hiding half his face, in fact) ... it was what that emo kid from his new memories looked like. Why did he look like him?

"You sissies get out there and show me some real football!" Mark Burlington yelled at his team. The football players started running out to the field, but then Mark yelled "Wait! Where the hell are Meadows and Foster?!"

The football players stopped running and shook their heads at the coach. "I don't know, Coach," Randy Goodman said.

"Damn those ..." Mark began to say, but suddenly stopped as he went glassy-eyed. He turned around and just walked off in no particular direction.

"Hey, where's the coach?" Mike Matthews asked. "Didn't he say that we shouldn't practice without him being here?"

"Yeah," Randy said. So all the players headed back to the sideline. Usually, the coach was there before they were. They hoped nothing bad happened to him to make him this late.
