"Would someone just tell what's going on with all of you?!" Allison yelled.
Everyone just stopped and looked at her. Then Danny spoke up. "Are you, like, blind or something? Look at me. I've got, like, a guy's body! Ohmygod! I hope none of the boys see me like this," he said, suddenly getting red with embarrassment.
"What are you talking about?" Melissa asked. "You don't look like a guy."
"Seriously?" Zoe asked. "He looks just like Danny Foster."
"That's the name of the guy in my memories," Danny said, spinning towards Zoe.
"Danny Foster?" Erika asked. "I think you mean Kyla Foster."
"Kyla Foster?" Gladys asked. "I think you mean Kyla Leeson. She used to be so nice to me," she said with a smile.
"Kyla Leeson?" Erika asked, now looking at Gladys. "I think you mean Susan Leeson. And what do you mean she was nice to you? What the hell do you care if some loser like that is nice to you?"
"She's not a loser! And neither am I!" Gladys yelled, almost crying.
"Gladys, what the hell has gotten into you?" Erika asked.
Gladys O'Brien looked at Erika, then at the others, and then turned and ran out of the room, crying.
"Well, that was smart," Zoe said, sourly. "Apparently nothing ever changes."
"And what's that supposed to mean?" Erika asked, turning towards Zoe.
"It means that all you popular girls are the same. You all think the rest of us are nothing put dirt beneath your strapless high heeled shoes. Well, I say fuck you."
"Zoe! What's gotten into you?" Melissa asked, shocked.
Zoe's eyes went wide. Did she just say what she thought she said? Without even realizing it, she was channeling her old life as Zoe Madison. She had to get a handle on this and try to control herself. She didn't want her old life intruding on her new one. Despite what happened over the weekend, she was still one of the most popular and hottest girls around. And she didn't want to lose that status. If she started going around acting like Zoe Madison, her image would be ruined!
"I'm sorry. I ... I didn't mean all that," Zoe said. She turned and looked at Zelda, who was looking at her. "What?"
"I don't know. For a moment there, I kind of agreed with you. I mean, accept it or not, we do treat the unpopular crowd like shit." She paused, thinking back to the life of Zelda Whitefield. "I remember how I was treated."
"What are you talking about?" Erika asked.
"You remember too?" Zoe asked.
"Too? You remember just like me? I mean, another life?" Zelda asked.
"Yeah. I was a ... Goth girl."
"You were a what?" Erika asked. "What are you two talking about?"
"So was I," Zelda said. "I was a cybergoth."
"Zelda, are you feeling okay? You sound ... smarter," Melissa said. "But you're also not making any sense. In fact, none of you are. Maybe you should all go see the nurse." She turned and saw Burnice making a call on her cellphone. "Burnice, what are you doing?"
"I'm calling my wife. I need to know if she's still there," Burnice said.
That was it for Melissa. The weirdness had just climbed to another level. "Wife? Burnice, have you lost your mind? You don't have a wife. You're a girl!"
"I don't have a wife, but Burt does."
"Who's Burt? What are you talking about? What the hell is wrong with all of you?" Melissa asked.
