Amber looked at herself in a daze, realizing that not only was she supposed to be a cheerleader and a bimbo, but also realizing that her body matched the one in her memories. She looked like a girl, with breasts and everything!
She looked up from her body, still confused and not sure what to think or do, when she suddenly spotted someone she knew. It was Michelle Lisle, a French girl who was part of the popular crowd. She remembered her from both lifetimes. In her old lifetime (as Amber Levine), Michelle was a fellow cheerleader, but in her new lifetime (as Amber Lettman), Michelle was someone who liked to tease her, calling her a loser and a weirdo. She felt both hatred and fondness for her. It was a weird combination of feelings and it made her unsure of how to react when she saw Michelle walking towards her.
"Amber, are you okay? You remember who you're supposed to be, right?" Michelle asked.
"You're the one that did that to me? Why?" she demanded.
"Why? Because it's who you were."
"I don't care who I was. Reverse whatever you did to me. I don't want these memories."
"I ... I can't. It's permanent. I thought you'd be happy. You were always so bubbly before. I saw how downtrodden you were and thought that ..."
"What? That you could just change my personality, my feelings, without asking me first?" Now Amber was mad. She shoved Michelle out of the way and walked past her. "I may remember you as a friend, but this just proves that all you popular girls are the same. You want to make everyone just like you. If I want to be sad all the time, that's my business. Just ... just leave me alone," she said, before rushing off.
That was not the reaction Michelle was expecting.
