After Karyn had entered the house, Zelda sprinted after her, much to the twins' anger. She figured that the twins couldn't see Karyn because they weren't wearing an anti-magic pendant like she was and Karyn was being affected by the same magic that was affecting so many others, but she still wanted to know why this was all happening and who was behind it. Maybe Karyn couldn't give her any answers, but she could at least see what she was up to.
"Get back here!" Beth yelled, as Zelda crossed the street and ran up to the front door of the house.
She looked over her shoulder and saw the twins pursuing her, but she was far enough ahead of them at the moment. Now, if only she could figure out how to get inside the house ...
Just as she had that thought, the door opened and a different girl emerged. She wasn't sure what her name was, but she had seen her around school before. She was part of the nerd crowd.
"Oh, sorry, I ..." Zelda stopped when she realized that the girl wasn't listening to her. Not because of indifference, but because she was in the same zombie state that Karyn had been in earlier.
Zelda was about to reach out and stop the nerd from walking, but was grabbed from behind by one of the twins.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Christine asked.
"Did you really think you were going to get away from us?" Beth asked, from behind.
