"What? How did I get here?" Karyn asked, looking around. Somehow, she had been transported to the Lake Point High School girls locker room. Looking down in her hand, she saw that the wishing stone was gone. Had she dropped it? She looked around at the floor, but couldn't see it anywhere.
A sudden shriek caught her attention. Someone in the building was yelling in terror. A second later, she heard what sounded like animal growls. Was one of those weird creatures in the school? The sound of yelling, accompanied by the sound of multiple people running, came closer to her location. Should she try to help whoever was in peril? Then again, how could she? She didn't have the stone. What could she possibly do? And where were Jon, Sarah, and Santa?
