Oh, the wish got granted alright, but not in the way Karyn wanted.
The town of Lake Point remained in the alternate dimension and was still being attacked by extra-dimensional creatures. So what did the wish do? It made it so that Jon, Santa, Sarah, and Karyn weren't meeting together to fix things and return everything to normal.
Now, they were all in different places around town, having to deal with the bizarre situation the town was in all by themselves, separately.
Karyn even lost the stone, since the stone was part of the solution to bringing an end to this madness. It was still in town, but where could the stone be? And where did Jon, Santa, Sarah, and Karyn end up?
