"Uh ... I don't think so," Mikey said. "Don't take this the wrong way, but ... I don't really know you very well. It's not like we're friends or something."
"Except, I know what's happening," Zelda pointed out. "We're in this boat together ... whether you like it or not." She held out her hand, still wanting Mikey to give her the stone.
Now Mikey was feeling even more uncomfortable, like Zelda was pushing him into a corner. What would she do if he didn't willingly give it to her? Would she take it from him by force? He had an increasingly unpleasant feeling that she would.
