Derek walked along the street until he spotted a gray painted house. He turned and walked towards it, entering through the front door. Then he walked into the bedroom belonging to Gladys Brewer, an unpopular overweight girl.
He took off the clothes he was wearing, then walked straight to her closet. After opening it, he pulled out the clothes that he intended on wearing that day, which consisted of an extra-large gray T-shirt, and a pair of extra-large pants. Both did fit, but they draped like a balloon around his thin body.
Gladys was walking to school, and by the time Derek entered her house, she was almost there. It was her mom's idea, of course. Given her weight, Gladys wasn't really up for walking. She'd rather just take the bus. But her mom insisted that walking to school would be better for her. It was good exercise, she said. Well, Gladys didn't care about how fit her body was. She thought that would be obvious, since she weighed at least 250 pounds.
As a car full of high schoolers drove by, they mocked Gladys, calling her cow. She had heard it all before. She knew she was fat and ugly, why did everyone have to rub it in? But, of course, she really didn't care what people thought. Self image wasn't very important to her. Maybe that's why she didn't have any friends.
At the exact time Derek was putting on Gladys' pants, Gladys stopped walking and got a glazed look in her eyes. She was almost to the school, but instead of continuing on, she turned around and walked back the way she came.
She needed to find new clothes.
