Mikey ran back into his house and up the stairs.
"Mikey, no running in the house!" he heard his mom say.
He ran into his bedroom and grabbed the wishing stone from its hiding place. He was about to make a wish to stop everything his previous wish put into motion, but he stopped. How did he know that another wish wouldn't make things worse? He had be careful about this. He could end up making Jon stay the way he was for the rest of his life, for all he knew. He was just playing a joke on him, he had no idea that his wish would change the lives of dozens of other people.
But maybe he didn't need to make a wish to stop what was happening. If he could track down the person who was currently looking for new clothes, maybe he could stop them before they took someone else's place.
So, Mikey made a wish to know who and where the person was. The stone told him that it was a high school boy named Derek. And he was currently walking around mindlessly just down the block.
Mikey stashed the stone and ran downstairs and out of the house.
"Mikey, where are you going in such a hurry?" he heard his mom ask, on his way out.
He ran as fast as he could to where the stone said Derek would be and watched as Derek mindlessly walked into a nearby house.
