After a long search, Mikey found the rock in the last place he looked. "Now that I have the rock back I can get even with my sister." He decided. "But how?" He wondered.
While he was wondering how best to get even with his sister, Mikey noticed Marylou and Sally Anne (the girl who had been Fred Orr) walking by outside his house. The girls were his class mates.
Being in sixth grade, Mikey and his classmates were just beginning their trip to adulthood. As is common the girl's showed outward signs of this new maturity earlier than did boys, and Mikey was slower in this area than most of the boys. Marylou and Sally Anne were ahead of most girls in their class.
