'Why didn't Mom's wish affect me?' Janet wondered, more relieved that it hadn't but worrying that maybe the rock was broken or something.
So why didn't Janet suddenly become a buxom girl?
With part of her mind, Janet pondered why her mother's wish hadn't affected her. The rest of her mind kept up a discussion with her mother as the pair drove to the bridal shower. Janet had not come upon an answer to why she hadn't been affect. 'I guess only time will tell.'
Once they arrived and Janet began to understand what was going to done during the bridal shower, she thought. 'How lame. What could be more dull and boring?'
Yet as the shower progressed, Janet found herself enjoying herself. She felt like an adult woman as the women present treated her pretty much as an equal.
Meanwhile at home, Mikey was looking for the missing wishing rock.
