Mikey began to plan how to get even with Janet. 'Boy is she going to get it.' Mikey thought as Janet brought him a glass of chocolate milk.
"Dinner is good, Janet." Judy said.
"Yes, Janet. You will make some lucky guy a great wife." Mikey said, smiling to himself as he thought about his older ex-brother as a girl and a wife. 'Serves her right.'
"Thank you Mikey, Mom." Janet said, trying to figure out what wish Mikey had made to make his mother think that he was a girl. 'Do I look like a girl?' He asked himself before answering himself, 'No, I don't.'
With dinner done, Mikey quickly was excused, leaving Janet and his mother to clean up. 'Girl's work.' He told himself.
In the kitchen, Judy spoke to her son who she thought of as her daughter. "Don't let Mikey get to you. Brothers can be a real pain sometimes. Some of the stories I could tell you about your uncles " Judy said without finishing.
Before Janet could say anything, Janet continued. "I know that I expect a lot of you Janet, and I apologize for it. You do do a good job keeping the house and no matter how mad Mikey makes you sometimes, he is right that you will make a good wife and mother."
'Just what I want to be with I grow up. NOT.' Janet thought to herself. 'What could be worse that Mother telling me what a good girl I am and what a great wife and mother I will make. For heaven's sake, I am a guy. Why would she say that?'
After another ten minutes of mother daughter bonding in the kitchen, Janet was glad the kitchen was cleaned. 'What could be worse than the last fifteen minutes?' He wondered.
